Two things resonated with me the most. First, the idea that I DO NOT have to be the expert in the classroom. I learned this lesson several years ago from my students. I got a grant and was able to buy digital video cameras and laptops so that my seniors could make documentary films. I knew how to tell a story, but had no idea how to use the technology. We learned from each other. Second, and I really appreciated his emphasis on this, rather than blocking social media we need to teach digital citizenship so that students use social media appropriately at school. I am very concerned about the amount of time young people spend in completely unsupervised social spaces, and when we ban those spaces from school and refuse to talk with students about the power and potential of those social spaces, we do them and ourselves a disservice.

I'll need to spend more time with the site and recipes, but I think it will be tremendously helpful in helping me stay organized with the various online media sources I use. I was disappointed that Edmodo isn't there. I've already started using it to make entries in Evernote for when I'm reading various sources.
I see one way students could use it is to keep track of their uploads to google drive by having it send the a text. We ran into a situation today where a student needed to leave class before their video uploads were done. Would have been cool if they could have gotten a text telling them it was done. Also, having the calendar send them a text reminder would help them stay organized, just like it will me. Ramsey's video was way cool and now I feel confident I can move a head with creating flipped lessons for my ELA class using my own website with google forms and screencastomatic. My example is weak, but I've got the hang of it. I'm also excited about the Ted videos, but need to spend some time experimenting. Not at all sure how I'd use AWWAPP. Is there a way to load a text document onto the white board?
I created my first "instructional" screencast using screencastomatic and google forms on compound sentences.
